Workers level up as they work, and only on stations they work on. They will level up faster by upgrading their ?talent? in that job. Toughness represents their need to eat and sleep, and also increases over time. The only skill not to upgrade automatically is their movement speed, which must be bought.

Stations can be upgraded to work faster, and moved around the screen as you like.
