~Endless * Eight~
by Requiem and Clarheine

It was the last day of April. I woke up slightly dazed, with embroidered pillows of all shapes and colors thrown to my face. Books were scattered across the floor, knocked out of their shelves. Judging from the state of disarray my room was in, Milady must have barged in and tried to wake me.
Fortunately I had not a lot in my room, save for the barren wooden desk and a small assortment of writing supplies, or the damage would be more extensive and painful to clean up. The task of a personal attendant afforded me most of the luxuries enjoyed by Milady, so I had little wants in material possessions. Unfortunately, Milady could also be a headache to deal with sometimes.
She couldn't really blame me for sleeping so soundly. The amount of work we had yesterday was so overwhelming, I excused myself once we finished making this forgotten estate decently comfortable. I could only guess what brought Milady to feel like vacationing here all of a sudden, but none of us was ever privy to Milady's whim. Not even me, her personal attendant.
I couldn't help but sigh. First thing first, as much as I held fondness to her antics, a talk was in order. Milady was to enter the society in a year or two, and she should be taught not to enter anyone's bedroom so leisurely. Not even her personal attendant's. Lord and Lady Elsworth, much like everyone else, coddled her a lot so Milady might have grown to act as she pleased. She was not in the least malicious, but how I wished for her to be more self-aware.
But I'd rather not stir her anger in the beginning of her vacation, especially since I was about to deliver a lecture I knew she wouldn't like, so I better meet her soon. I got myself ready in no time, an ability honed over the years of serving a quick-tempered princess. Glancing at the clock, I guessed she would be around the drawing room right now, probably grumbling what would take me so long. On the other hand, I still had my duties for the day, and I needed to make sure the servants had everything prepared for our upcoming excursion. It was unlikely for the Milady to stay in the house all day now we'd come all the way here.
